Meet the Council

Clipstone Parish Council represents the community of Clipstone, Nottinghamshire, divided into Clipstone Village and Cavendish ward. The Parish Council is made up of nine elected, unpaid councillors who meet monthly (except in August and December) to steer local affairs.

Based at the Village Hall on Church Road (open weekdays 9 am–12 noon), the council owns and maintains key amenities including the Village Hall, playing field, cemetery, and leased community spaces like the former squash and sauna centre.

Beyond these responsibilities the council actively organises community events, ranging from Easter discos and D‑Day memorials to summer crafts and festive lights. The council supports local groups through grants and improvements. It also serves as a vital liaison with Newark & Sherwood District and Nottinghamshire County Councils, ensuring smooth delivery of services from highways to dog waste collections. Clipstone Parish Council clearly plays a central role in nurturing the community spirit and managing local assets for the benefit of all residents.
